List Of District Lands Open After Hurricane Irma
The District is working diligently to reopen public lands after Hurricane Irma. Public safety is our primary concern. Once assessed, lands which are deemed safe will be opened to the public.
Near Record Flood Levels Forecasted For Santa Fe River
LIVE OAK, FLA., Sept. 12, 2017 – The Suwannee River Water Management District (District) and National Weather Service are forecasting near record water levels along the Santa Fe River. Water levels are expected to peak by September 14, 2017.
The District is hosting two public meetings to discuss the SWIM plans. A meeting will be held October 3 from 1:30-4:30 at District Headquarters to discuss the Suwannee Basin plan. A second meeting will be held at the Dixie County BOCC on October 4 from 1:30-4:30 to discuss the Coastal Basin plan.
