The District partnered with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to update the Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) and Flood Insurance Study (FIS) report for Columbia County. Before adoption, appeals may be sent to Chad Williams, P.O. Box 1529, Lake City, FL 32056 by October 13, 2017. A public forum will be held August 10 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Westside Community Center. Click here to learn more about FEMA appeals and protests.
