On these tracts, visitors may enjoy biking, hiking, and wildlife viewing on administrative roads and designated trails. Fishing is also allowed at the Little Shoals and Gar Pond tracts.

Access

White Springs tract from White Springs:
Travel south on US 41, turn right on Adams Memorial Circle, go past Riverside Cemetery. The pavement ends and the street becomes dirt; the tract entrance is on the right. The second entrance is at the US 41 boat ramp.

Little Shoals tract from White Springs:
Travel south on US 41, cross the Suwannee River and turn left on NW Egypt Terrace; the entrance sign is on the left.

Gar Pond tract from White Springs:
Access to the Gar Pond tract is across US 41 from the Little Shoals entrance; turn right into the driveway and keep right on the road.

IMPORTANT NOTICES:
Prescribed Fire Notices:

Prescribed fire Operations will be conducted on the following tract(s) on 2/19/2018:

1) The Woods Ferry tract in Columbia County. Prescribed fire activities will be conducted in the central part of the tract north of the main public road.

2) The Natural Well Branch tract in Taylor County. Prescribed fire activities will be conducted north of the river, in the central part of the tract.

3) The Middle Aucilla WMA - Mount Gilead tract in Taylor County. Prescribed fire activities will be conducted on the northern end of the tract on both sides of the main public road.


For the safety of recreational users, public access to burn areas will be closed during burning operations. Contact Scott Gregor, Natural Resource Specialist, at 386.362.8130 for additional information.
