Over 105,000 acres of District lands are available for deer, hog, turkey, and small game hunting. The majority of these lands are part of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's (FWC) Wildlife Management Area (WMA) or Wildlife Environmental (WEA) programs.

For more information about WMA/WEAs, contact the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) at 386.758.0525 to request the annual WMA/WEA brochures or stop by your local tax collector's office to pick up a copy.

IMPORTANT NOTICES:

August 3, 2015 -The Steinhatchee Springs, Steinhatchee Rise and Steinhatchee Falls tracts, Steinhatchee Falls Park and the LA Bennett Grade (South Canal Road) Bridge over the Steinhatchee River is closed to vehicles due to flooding.  These tracts and facilities are located in Dixie, Lafayette and Taylor Counties.
