Over 105,000 acres of District lands are available for deer, hog, turkey, and small game hunting. The majority of these lands are part of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's (FWC) Wildlife Management Area (WMA) or Wildlife Environmental (WEA) programs.

For more information about WMA/WEAs, contact the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) at 386.758.0525 to request the annual WMA/WEA brochures or stop by your local tax collector's office to pick up a copy.

April 11, 2016 - Usher Landing at Manatee Springs State Park is closed due to river flooding.

February 22, 2016 The District is conducting a timber harvest at the Mattair Springs tract in northern Suwannee County for the next three months.  Visitors should use extreme caution and avoid the harvest area.  For more information call 386-362-1001, or email - recreation@srwmd.org.

January 21, 2016 - Road 55-4 in the Steinhatchee Springs tract located on the west side of SR 51 has been closed to vehicles due to extreme wet conditions.
