Visitors may enjoy biking, hiking, horseback riding, and wildlife viewing on administrative roads, in addition to fishing and hunting. Many of the river access points provide launches for canoes or small boats.

These tracts are part of the Lower Econfina River Wildlife Management Area.

Access

Cabbage Creek tract from Perry:
Travel west 16 miles on US 98, turn right into the boat ramp parking lot.

West side of the tract from Perry:
Travel across the river on US 98, turn right on the Loughridge Grade (the first road to the right) and the tract is on the right.

North entrance from Perry:
Travel west on US 98, veer right on Salt Grade; travel 3.5 miles and the entrance is on the left.

Scanlon tract from Perry:
Travel west approximately 16 miles on US 98 and the entrance is on the left before crossing the Econfina River.

August 16, 2018 - Devil's Hammock in Levy County has reopened after closure from recent flooding.

July 24, 2018 -   Boat/Canoe camping special use authorizations are suspended on the 47 Bridge tract due to flooding.

July 24, 2018 - The Ellaville Tract Trailwalker Trail, trailhead, and public access on the south side of Highway 90 near the Suwannee River in Madison County is closed due to timber harvesting operations until further notice.

April 24, 2018 - The Bay Creek tract has been closed to vehicles until further notice due to extreme wet conditions.

August 17, 2017 -
The boardwalk at Pot Springs on the Withlacoochee tract in Hamilton County is closed for renovations.
