Visitors may enjoy biking, hiking, horseback riding, and wildlife viewing on administrative roads, in addition to fishing and small game hunting at the Ruth Springs tract, which is part of the Troy Springs Wildlife Management Area. Visitors may also enjoy swimming at Lafayette County's Ruth Springs Park, located within the tract.

The Ruth Springs tract has a canoe launch.

The Branford Bend tract is a primitive recreation site.


Ruth Springs tract from Branford:
Travel west on US 27, turn right on NE CR 421; travel north 1 mile and the Ruth Springs tract entrance is on the right. Access from Mayo: Travel east on US 27, turn left on NE CR 421; travel 1 mile and the entrance is on the right.

Branford Bend tract from Branford:
Travel north on US 129, the entrance is on the left approximately 1 mile north of the intersection of US 27 and US 129.

Prescribed Fire Notices:

Prescribed fire Operations will be conducted on the following tract(s) on 2/15/2018:

1) The Twin Rivers WMA - Withlacoochee Quail Farm tract in Madison County. Prescribed fire activities will be conducted on the eastern half of the tract.

2) The Natural Well Branch tract in Taylor County. Prescribed fire activities will be conducted south of the river, in the central part of the tract
